This is my example of the Japanese Army Type 98 Airspeed Indicator produced by Tanaka Keiki Seisakusho. This airspeed indicator type was used in a variety of IJAAF aircraft including the famous Ki-43 Hayabusa 隼 (Peregrine Falcon) “Oscar”, Kawasaki Ki-45 Toryu 屠龍 (Dragon Slayer) “Nick”, Nakajima Ki-44 Zhong Kui 鍾馗 (King of Ghosts) “Tojo” and more. This a very nice example, and no damage or noticeable issues. I had been looking for one for quite a while after missing out on one about 2 years prior, so it was great to be able to finally get an one that will eventually live in my replica Ki-43 panel. The dual rings displayed up to 700 km/h (380Kt) on the inside ring and then up to a maximum reading of 390 knots on the outer ring.
